What is The Daily Move?
The Daily Move is the free morning newsletter from Chess News Network, an independent chess news site. Each issue gathers the previous day's most important chess stories into one short read: who won, who lost, what changed in the standings, and what to watch next.
We cover elite tournaments such as the Candidates, the Grand Chess Tour and the Olympiad. We also cover FIDE and national federation decisions, fair play and anti-cheating cases, junior and women's chess, and the business of the professional game. Stories are written and edited for readers who follow chess closely but do not have time to watch every round.
